My Paris

from $50.00

About the sketch

This sketch covers all things representing Paris to me. A few notable items:

  • Garbages: One of my first memories of Paris is the city filled in large garbage bags (they are not smelly or dirty, but lots of large garbage bags littered all over). It could also be due to the timing when I was first there happens to be the garbage collection day?

  • French breakfast: Orange juice, croissant and jam, egg, coffee, more bread and cigarettes (I may be stereotyping a typical French breakfast here but I am drawing this purely from the view of a tourist)

  • Mona Lisa: The reality of catching a glimpse of Mona Lisa at the Museum Louvre, surrounded by people trying to take photos (and there is always that one person that has his/her hands reach out the highest to get a picture-perfect shot)

  • Bed bugs: At the time that I was sketching this, bed-bugs in Paris was the headline news at the time. Coincidentally, I suffered from bed bugs in Paris on my very first trip to Paris in 2005 as well

Prints are available in A4 or A3 size
