About the sketch
This sketch covers all things representing Florence/Firenze to me. A few notable items:
The apartment block at the bottom right was the apartment where I used to live
ACF Fiorentina: Florence’s football/soccer club… seeing a sea of purple fans marching past during match days
The Great Flood in 1966: There are lots of markings around the city to indicate how high the flood level was during one of the worst floods of the century. Many paintings in Gallery Uffizi were permanently destroyed
Gelateria Badiani: One of the iconic gelateria (I know, almost every second gelateria claims to be the best, but trust me on this! It is known for their invention of the Buontalenti flavour, which is vanilla and honey
